two counts of felonious assault, one count of tampering with evidence and one count of abuse of a corpse. She was sentenced to 19 years in prison to life. She must serve all 19 years prior to being released. Her mother stated that Janet had suffered mental health issues through most of her adult life. She apologized during the sentencing, saying "I so sincerely apologize to my family, friends, neighbors, the Lakewood community and the North Ridgeville community for putting them through this trial this mess. My actions were just egregious. Taking my daughter’s body – I was not in my right mind – and placing her in a field in North Ridgeville. For getting my other daughter – who was just going about her business in college – and involving her in helping to move her sister’s body.”
According to Cleveland, A Lakewood mother was sentenced to 19 years to life in prison Wednesday morning for suffocating her daughter and dumping her body in a field in North Ridgeville.

Janet
Tyburski, 47, pleaded guilty to charges of murder, felonious assault,
tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse as part of a plea deal. A
charge of aggravated murder was dropped.
"I
will affirm that I am taking the plea today because I made that
statement (admitting to killing daughter) to the North Ridgeville Police
Department," she said to Lorain County Common Pleas Court Judge John
Miraldi.
