Wanda Stanley and John Stanley, Sr.

As seen on Season 23 of Oxygen's Snapped, Wanda Stanley plead guilty to the murder (a lesser charge then the original) of her husband, John Stanley, Sr.  Her plea was bargained for a total of fifteen years, with seven to ten being served in prison in 2012. She has since been released.

According to the Henry Herald, Her attorney maintains that she shot and killed her 45-year-old husband in self-defense. John Stanley was found dead in his SUV, in College Park, on Dec. 26, 2008. His wife has admitted to the killing She accepted a plea deal while the jury was deliberating.

Denise Frei and Curtis Bailey

As seen on Season 23 of Oxygen's Snapped, Denise Frei killed her boyfriend, Curtis Bailey. While she claimed battered woman syndrome, she later admitted to planning to kill him and did so with two others. She was sentenced to life in prison without parole in September, 2011. Her appeal includes ( see link ): The defendant killed her longtime boyfriend. At trial she raised a defense of justification based on evidence of battered women’s syndrome and a defense of insanity based on various diagnoses including depression and an anxiety disorder. She was convicted of first-degree murder. On appeal, she alleges the district court erred in denying her motion for mistrial and by giving improper jury instructions on justification, insanity, and reasonable doubt.
