Remano died intestate in October 2011, the victim of ahomicide perpetrated by his wife, Eugenia Campbell. At thetime of his death, Remano was the insured under a $200,000life-insurance policy issued by United of Omaha Life InsuranceCompany ("Omaha"). The policy lists Eugenia as thebeneficiary, and Eugenia filed a claim for the proceeds of thepolicy. Becauseof the circumstances surrounding Remano'sdeath and, more specifically, the existence of a pendingcriminal investigation, Omaha, pursuant to Rule 22, Ala. R.Civ. P., filed an interpleader actionagainst Eugenia andRemano's estate, depositing the proceeds from the policy plusinterest into an escrow account with the circuit court andrequesting that the court determine the heirs of Remano'sestate, who would possibly be entitled to the proceeds of thepolicy.

Melissa Napier and Billy Ray Napier

As seen on Season 23 of Oxygen's Snapped, Melissa Napier entered an Alfred plea to charges of first-degree murder and defiling a body in the shooting death of Billy Ray Napier , her husband. She conspired with her then fourteen year old daughter, Savannah Napier to shoot him and hide the body. She was sentenced to a total of 45 years. The consequences for Savannah Napier are unclear. Kimberly Ross and William “Bill” Ross

As seen on Season 23 of Oxygen's Snapped, Kimberly Ross plead guilty to the first degree murder of her husband, William “Bill” Ross. He had been shot three times. Initially she claimed intruders had broken into the home and killed him while he slept. This crime was also committed by Justin Paul Young, a friend of her son and Ashley Mai Cook, a young woman who viewed Kimberly as a mother figure. She killed Bill so she was free to marry Terry Aber, whom she had had an affair with for many years. She has appealed her plea deal and lost, as is nearly always the case. She was sentenced to life without parole for her role.
